Our Founding Inspiration
Because no one should fall through the cracks
Early on in my training as a counsellor I attended a trauma workshop where the specialist recounted a professional experience with a particular family. This family had a little boy who was "very disturbed" in her words. She was tasked in trying to help this little boy. She took us through the events that occurred to manifest such "disturbance" and finally the specialist concluded that this little boy was "beyond help". Someone has decided the future for that 3 year old boy.
I tried to process this and I could not escape the feeling of confusion and infuriation at how anyone can condemn a starting life to not only eternal stagnation but also damnation. Convinced I was right in my outrage I would explain what happened to my friends and colleagues in my effort to understand what I was missing. It came as a surprise to me to hear some people refer to me as naïve and that I will learn that some patients "just fall through the cracks". I ended up working with people who are shunned from society in all sorts of different ways and, although a similar message continued to plague me throughout my career, I became even more resolute in my belief that no one is beyond help and that no one should fall through the cracks.
My inspiration and motivation as a therapist is that 3 year old boy who I truly hope found someone who saw him and understood that he too matters. The inspiration for this company is all of everyone that I have already met along the way and those that I am yet to meet - who feel dismissed, judged, blamed and shamed, shunned, stuck and stifled, and so very frightened and confused. You are brave and you deserve to bee seen. You do matter.

Our Purpose
What we do
Our purpose is to bridge the gap between NHS and Private Mental Health Support.
We raise funds for adult individuals struggling to get specialised mental health diagnosis and specialised mental health care.
Who do we support
Adult individuals who suffer from the impact of complex trauma which result in dissociative disorders. This can be from all forms of abuse and neglect. The individuals who have been misdiagnosed due to the limitations of NHS services and are unable to receive appropriate care. In many cases they suffer in silence - misunderstood, ashamed and alone. They continue to try and find the right support only to get blocked and rejected and forced to try again. They are told that their symptoms are either not "bad enough" or "too complex". They are consistently made to feel that they are the problem and their core belief of not being worthy gets stronger with every referral and rejection they face.
Unfortunately currently we can only provide the funds for adult individuals who are based in UK. We do hope to expand in the future.
Why a correct diagnosis is important
Would you ask this questions if it was a diagnosis for physical health. Same reasons apply for mental health. The added value for a correct mental health diagnosis is that the individual will finally feel seen and understood and instead of shaming themselves will see their own beauty!
How do we support
We conduct initial assessment which include current symptomology and mental health history to identify the need for specialised diagnosis and care. We use the funds raised to connect and pay for private specialised diagnosis and where appropriate specialised care. We carefully facilitate and support individuals during the entire process making sure they are not alone in the referral process.
